In his classical masterpiece called the Bodhicharyavatara, The Introduction to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life, the legendary 8th century Indian saint Shantideva offers an essential and practical guide to the bodhisattva path. This text forms the basis of a classical Shedra education and is highly revered. His Holiness the Dalai Lama says that if he has any understanding of compassion and the bodhisattva path, it all comes from studying this text.

About Ringu Tulku Rinpoche
Ringu Tulku Rinpoche has been trained by some of the most distinguished khenpos of the Nyingma and Kagyü traditions and received teachings from many outstanding masters, including Thrangu Rinpoche, Dodrupchen Rinpoche, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and the Gyalwang Karmapa. As you will discover, he has a remarkably accessible way of transmitting the essence of the subject matter, infused with a characteristic warmth and sense of humour.
