Chetsun Nyingtig Liturgy 5th Edition ~ Practice Text

This fifth edition of the Chetsun Nyingtig Liturgy has been revised and carefully compiled under the guidance of Khenchen Namdrol Rinpoche and includes important revisions in some translation and transliteration. The kangwa or Fulfillment Prayer entitled Extremely Illuminating Wisdom composed by Adzom Drukpa Rinpoche is a new addition to this practice text.

Similar to previous editions, instructions on how the Ngondro and Sadhana are to be performed are included and will be of great help to all who wish to establish themselves properly in this most profound practice that falls within the upadesha class of the Great Perfection tradition.

The Chetsun Nyingtig Liturgy contains color illustrations, including reproductions of authentic Chetsun thangkas, and line drawings for the visualization practices. 

Samaya Commitment

This is a restricted practice. To use this book one must receive an empowerment for Chetsun Nyingtig, a reading transmission for the practices included in this text, and permission from a lineage teacher to read and do these practices. Please take care to honor the samaya commitment that accompanies this tradition like a shadow.

This 5th Edition Chetsun liturgy includes all the practices that accompany the the following Chetsun publications (teachings and commentaries).

The commentary written by Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Thaye based upon Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo’s pure vision of total recall as Chetsun Senge Wangchuk, along with the commentary given by Khenchen Namdrol Rinpoche to the Heart Essence Sangha at Orgyen Dorje Den, Alameda, California in the fall of 2015, comprise Volume 1 of the Heart Essence of Chetsun series entitled The Perfect Secret Bindu, which was published by Light of Berotsana in 2019. 

Terton Lerab Lingpa wrote annotations on the Chetsun Nyingtig based upon what he received directly from Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo. The translation of those annotations, along with Khenchen Namdrol Rinpoche’s commentary given at the sacred place of Lerab Ling in 2017, is presented as Volume 2, Heart Essence of Chetsun: Wisdom Bindu published by Light of Berotsana in 2022.
