When we go through difficulties in our lives, for example when we encounter sickness or unwelcome changes, and above all when we face the time of our death, we need an essential spiritual teaching which reminds us of the most important points to keep in mind, and which acts as a support and guide for us throughout these crucial moments.
Time after time Rinpoche has given his deepest heart advice to students who are sick and approaching death, and, drawing from the tradional Tibetan Buddhist teachings offering them specific guidance.
This audio brings together a collection of teachings in which Rinpoche covers the most essential advice for the moment of death, answers students questions and gives practice guidance, primarily on the practice of Essential Phowa. Each of these teachings has a very special warm and intimate quality as Rinpoche offers the most apt advice to these students, all of whom were faced with the immediacy of their death. In some Rinpoche creates a deep and cosy atmosphere of practice while in others he offers uncompromising advice on how to transform the fear and confusion that can plague our minds during
