Stopping the Mind’s Projections


When we project our thoughts and emotions onto the world, we distort reality and fail to see it for what it is. Mindlessly distracted, we become lost in a whirlwind of thoughts that takes us further and further away from ourselves. What we need to do is bring our mind home again, let it settle, and regain pure perception through the practice of meditation. If we can learn to understand the nature of mind through meditation, we will know how to leave the mind in a state of harmony. We will discover profound peace and contentment, a happiness not born of external circumstances, but revealed from deep within ourselves.
