Shipping your parcel

The Colissimo service is a quick and easy way to send parcels weighing up to 30 kg anywhere in the world. Although the solution is fast, generally taking 2 working days, it needs to be more precise, depending on a number of factors. Here is a brief summary of the situations.

Delivery times for Colissimo parcels in France and abroad

A Colissimo delivery in France takes 2 working days, i.e. bank holidays and Sundays are not counted. To ensure that your parcel is delivered on the same day, you must also bring it to your post office before the drop-off deadline. This varies from place to place, but is generally in the early evening. This standard delivery time applies not only to France, but also to the principalities of Andorra and Monaco.

When sending a Colissimo to the French Overseas Departments and Territories, delivery times are longer because of the distances involved. It takes 5 to 7 working days for the parcel to arrive in Guadeloupe and French Polynesia.

Sending a Colissimo parcel internationally is also subject to uncertainties. It takes between 4 and 8 days for the parcel to reach its recipient. Delivery times depend on the country of delivery and the local postal services. This time is also given without taking into account public holidays and Sundays, those of the country of reception and subject to the parcel being delivered before the deadline.

In any case, you can now track the progress of your colissimo online using the parcel number sent at the time of dispatch. For more information on this subject, see our colissimo tracking article or go directly to the colissimo.fr website.

It is also possible that your parcel will be held up at customs for some reason and will therefore take longer to arrive at its destination. The times indicated above are given as an indication.

Colissimo storage times

It is also useful to know the storage times. This is the name given to the period during which the post office holds the parcel that the postman has not been able to deliver to the addressee. The holding period is 15 days after a delivery notice has been given. After this period, both in France and abroad, the parcel is returned to the sender.

Shipping costs include preparation, packaging and postage. Preparation costs are fixed, while transport costs vary according to the total weight of the parcel. We recommend that you combine all your items in a single order. We cannot group two distinct orders placed separately, and shipping fees will apply to each of them. Your package will be dispatched at your own risk, but special care is taken to protect fragile objects.

Boxes are sized appropriately and your items are adequately protected.
